Writing and creative work (23/SP DIGITAL MEDIA WRITING)
Writing in 21st-century workplaces does not only involve typing emails and documents. In this class we learn to compose in a variety of digital platforms by drawing upon both technical and rhetorical skills that we will develop over the course of the semester. We will deploy design processes with purpose, audience input, and revision in mind, building on our previous writing courses while composing for real audiences.
DIGITAL MEDIA WRITING Class - Podcast!
I had to create a podcast for this class, edit the audio, add music/sound effects, and upload it here! I already had some experience with Audacity from middle school ( a looong time ago) so this was a good review session.
I did the podcast with someone really close to me but she wanted to remain anonymous for personal reasons. We talk about the life of a young adult dropping out of college, working as a barista, and coffee! one of my many passions.

DIGITAL MEDIA WRITING Class - 60 seconds Video
The requirements for this project were to make a story board, film and edit a video 60 seconds long, so I pretty much had the freedom to do whatever I wanted. I decided to show a place that I've visited quit often last year, Japan Village (Industry City). My plan was to film my trip to New York, taking trains, the subway, and show a bit of Japan Village. Some parts I recorded had to be removed because the project had to be 60 seconds, but I managed to include the most important bits. I hope you like it!
DIGITAL MEDIA WRITING Class - Client Project
My team was in charge of making a website for the collaboration between Bloomfield and the city of Makhanda (formerly known as Grahamstown) in South Africa. Our job was to showcase their work, mainly 360 videos and pictures, and information on Makhanda.
